Kings Framers

Back in June I dropped of a bundle of work with Peta at Kings Framers in Lewes. She has recently put together a window of my work together with some fantastic artists!

She writes this below...

Taylor and I have spent the last couple of weeks it seems unpacking endless boxes of exciting new products for the shop, it just keeps on coming in!
Despite panicking that we are fast running out of room in our modest little shop, we are very pleased with it all and our customers reactions have been equally positive. Our current window is full of beautifully designed gifts including new Mark Hearld images embossed onto sketch books and printed onto gorgeous cards from the Tate, and Charley Harper's brilliant creatures on a great collection of toys and games.
Lucie Sheridans playful Tiger screen print looks perfect amongst the menagerie!

Back from the big apple

Ah, what a great trip! I loved NYC - who would'nt? We had some great meetings whilst there, amongst best times.
The Affordable Art Fair NYC went well too, it was positioned opposite the Empire State building! Great location. Here's a pic of me after the private view, taking in NY for the first evening.
We will be back there soon...

Christmas menu for Platillos

My good friend Lee from Peter and Paul design agency got in touch again recently with a great brief for Platillos restaurant in Sheffield. I designed this Christmas menu, and am currently working on a 'Mains' menu along with T shirts for the staff. I love working with Lee, his ideas are hilarious, and its great the Platillos allow us the freedom to produce some great witty work.

Ahoy there!

5 Aug - 2 Sep 2011
M Shed exhibition Bristol
The new museum M Shed has just opened in Bristol, and I will be exhibiting in the museum shop this August, the show is going to be nautical indeed. www.mshed.org
The image above is The Matthew, here is some info on the wonderful ship.

Over 500 years ago John Cabot and his crew set sail for Asia aboard the original Matthew hoping to trade goods and commodities with the people who lived there.

However, he finally arrived on the coast of Newfoundland and therefore was the original discoverer of North America, not Christopher Columbus as most people believe.

Today the replica of the Matthew sits proudly in Bristol harbour for all to see. The general public are able to board the Matthew as well as embark on trips around the harbour.

In 1997 the replica Matthew followed the same course as John Cabot in 1497 and sailed across to Newfoundland. It carried the same number of crew members as the original and took the same and used the same amount of time to complete the crossing.

Specs in the City

I was asked my Wills Art Warehouse to come up with something 'New York' for the forthcoming
Affordable Art Fair, New York. I have just completed this edition of 50, 'Specs in the City' screen print and hope it will go down well with the New Yorkers, who obviously like me, own a guilty secret for loving the series Sex in the City. The characters are loosely based on the four characters, see if you can name them all first time! My trip is now booked for my first visit to the big apple in September, can't wait!

To Dry For

I have designed a Mermaid tea towel for the company To Dry For the design is exclusive and can be purchased from here.

Here is what they have to say about it....

An exclusive design by Lucie Sheridan

I don't know about you, but I always wanted to be a mermaid when I was younger; from Stingray's Marina to Daryl Hannah's Madison in Splash, I just wanted a tail and a bra made of shells (this is Sally by the way, if you were wondering about Dave's liking for lingerie)!

We commissioned Lucie Sheridan to design the latest tea towel in our ToDryFor range; perhaps her lovely Mermaid will lure unsuspecting passers-by to do the dishes!

Size: Approx 48cm x 76cm
Material: 100% natural cotton
